The Oklahoma County Clerk’s office, which is the central filing location in the state has been accepting the new UCC forms that comply with the 2010 Amendments to Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, along with the old forms. However, the legislation adopting the amendments as not been enacted in the state, and may not be effective until July 1, 2014. Best Practice Tip: File the new forms in states that have enacted the new amendments, and used the old forms in states where the legislation has not been enacted. The new forms have omitted sections that were previously required. When in doubt, contact filing agency or RASi to find out which form is currently in use.
