As of July 1, 2013, the 2010 Amendments to the Uniform Commercial Code Revised Article 9 regarding Secured Transactions are in effect. With these amendments come new rules for identifying a Registered Organization’s legal name, as well as, the proper way to list an Individual Debtor on a UCC-1 Financing Statement.
Please note that not every state passed the legislation to enact these changes, and some states do not share the uniform effective date of July 1, 2013.
