Secretary of State Scott Gessler has announced a fee holiday beginning July 1 for new businesses forming in Colorado. Currently the filing fee is $50 and the reduced fee will be $1. The reason for the fee holiday is thanks to the legislature’s repayment of its 2009 cash fund raid and a budget surplus. The fee holiday does not have a set end date but will run through the summer and then will be reviewed monthly.
