Many Arkansas businesses received fraudulent mailers from a company calling itself “Compliance Services.” The mailer offered to prepare a company’s minutes from an Annual Meeting of the Shareholders or Board of Directors for a fee of $125. While there companies that can assist a company with compliance issues, the preparation of annual minutes must be prepared solely by the business and not by another company. Secretary of State Martin wants businesses to be aware that there is no valid registration for a company called “Compliance Services” in the state of Arkansas.
