Effective October 1, Senate Bill 41 allows the Secretary of State to examine records associated with the duties of a registered agent and requires that limited liability companies and limited partnerships maintain certain records at a principal address within the state. The bill also amends requirements for charitable organizations registered with the Secretary of State among other changes.
