Signed by the Governor April 20 and effective July 1, HB5501 (Chapter 2012-139) directs the Department of Revenue to form a One-Stop Business Registration Portal by January 1, 2013 for completing and submitting applications for various licenses, registrations, or permits that must be issued by a state department or agency in order for the applicants to transact business in Florida.
