The Division of Corporations is completing a major upgrade to its computer platform, the first comprehensive rewrite of the Division’s imaging, workflow and data systems since 1989. This upgrade will enable the State and its network of authorized online registered agents to offer expanded and improved products and services in the future. The conversion to this new system will require time to complete all necessary tasks including the migration of data and images documenting 116 years of Delaware corporate law filings. As a result, the Division of Corporations will close for business at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2015 and is scheduled to reopen for business at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. The 4-day conversion process has been scheduled for a holiday weekend in order to cause the least possible disruption for our customers. We understand that being closed on Friday, September 4 and the introduction of a new system the following Tuesday could potentially have unanticipated impacts on some necessary business transactions scheduled for this time period.
