UCC Specialist
Austin, TX


The UCC Specialist is responsible for fulfilling client orders for various public records searches, filings and document retrievals. The UCC Specialist will work with clients, affiliates, vendors and state agencies to prepare, submit and finalize orders. This position requires organizational and analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and professional levels of customer service and communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • File UCC documents including financing statements, assignments, amendments, terminations, etc.
  • Conduct UCC/tax/judgment lien, civil litigation, criminal and bankruptcy searches and document retrievals.
  • Responsible for compiling, reviewing and analyzing search results in order to produce UCC/tax/judgment/litigation/bankruptcy search reports.
  • Responsible for obtaining copies of miscellaneous public record documents at the federal, state, and county level.
  • Responsible for coordinating and utilizing our nationwide network of correspondents and databases to perform UCC lien, tax lien, judgment lien, civil litigation, and bankruptcy searches and filings at the federal, state, and county level
  • Respond to and resolve incoming client, vendor, and correspondent requests, queries, issues and concerns via phone and email.
  • Efficiently manage the entire order process from initial client inquiry through processing, invoicing and follow up.
  • Responsible for effectively communicating with clients regarding UCC/Lien and litigation/bankruptcy services.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship building skills.
  • Analytical critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Must be very detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively handle multiple time sensitive projects.
  • Knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code or willingness to learn
  • Ability to gather, organize, analyze, and compile data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Must be computer literate; Intermediate level skills with MS Office; Word, Excel and Outlook are required.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 years equivalent experience in customer service or legal industry.
